Repurposed Art

collection

Most of the pieces in this collection are the products of my "Made From Scrap" items, collected from a number of different sources over time. I designed and manufactured many 4 x 8 foot panels for the historic Wiltern Center in Los Angeles (pictured on the right). When these panels were laser cut, I saved the scrap pieces for future use. They have since become a fun source of material for the pieces showcased below.

If you look closely at the Art Deco panels, you can see how the negative shapes from the Wiltern design have made their way into my personal creations. Using the metal scraps as well as other items such as discarded table tops, barn wood, shot gun shells, Dish TV satellite, etc., I have turned these discarded pieces into new works of art.

In many of my designs you will see I've used LEDs to add depth, light, and movement. The lighting is battery operated with a remote control, offering 8 different modes to light the artwork. Most of these pieces range from 3 - 4 feet. (For example, the large, Art Deco heart pictured below is 42" x 48".)  These larger pieces are great for outside patios, decks, garages, or in home or office.
