Making Artistic Designs
ABOUT DON
I have a BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago. As a student, I worked part-time for Reynolds Metals Company and continued full-time after graduation, spending 11 years working with them as a graphic designer. Eventually, I ended up in Los Angels and went on to have my own Graphic Design firm based out of South Pasadena for over 30 years. In addition to my design work, I have been lucky enough to create portraits of celebrities such as Olivia Newton-John for an album cover, Debbie Reynolds for a Thalians magazine. I've also created many other tributes for loved ones (pets included) along the way.

Now retired, I enjoy spending my time creating works based on whatever inspires me: flower, angels, repurposed art, portraiture, etc. I am always looking for new ways of creating art, utilizing anything I come across in new an unique ways. Discarded items, barn wood, shotgun shells, marbles - anything I think will make a rustic, colorful piece of art. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do and reach out if you would like to have any of these unique pieces of art in your home, office, or garden.
