Making Artistic Designs
A few years ago I had a vision of having a large angel as part of my outdoor art. After deciding to actually do it, I made the angel you see here on my neighbor's garage. In doing so, it required a large sheet of aluminum (52” x 60”) laser cut, which would leave a lot of empty space on that sheet. This space allowed me to get 4 - 2ft. angels and 14 - 1ft angels. My next project was now making a different design for each using a number of frames and other pieces of material to give each one a unique look with some having LED lightning to really stand out.
Since Los Angeles is called the “City of Angeles” I had to design some of these to to convey that message and others having a background or elements to complement each one. Two of the round designs are 30” in diameter and use a scrapped aluminum chandelier with LED lighting. I also acquired 15 square acrylic frames which were perfect for using this lightning and that are battery operated with a remote with 8 different lighting modes. I have also incorporated hearts on these pieces which convey love and heavenly bodies for design inspiration.
